Words cannot really begin to express to you how much I love strawberry season! It signifies the beginning of summer in all the ways. The smell, the picking, me with my mom in the backyard hulling them brings back some very fond childhood memories.Β

10 fresh strawberries on a white wood.

I have been making a version of this jam for a couple of years now. It can be made from frozen or fresh berries. If you are lucky to be able to get a big haul and freeze them, this could be made in the dead of winter, shining a little summer light on a cold winter’s day.Β

I use this for a number of things. Keeping it simple for toast, adding to ice cream, crumble bars or eating with a spoon. You won’t buy jars of jam again.

Happy strawberry season. I hope it brings you as much joy as it brings me
