Equipment

Ingredients

Brownie Ingredients

  • ½ cup almond flour
  • ¼ cup Botanica Health chocolate protein powder
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 4 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 5 medjool dates soaked on hot water for 10 minutes, pit removed!
  • ¼ cup tahini* runny is best!
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Optional Chocolate Coating Ingredients

Instructions

  • Place a piece of parchment paper down onto a large plate.
  • Drain dates and remove the pit. I use a sharp paring knife to slice the date open.
  • Add everything into a food processor and blend to combine. Scrape down sides as needed.
  • If mixture appears too dry, add milk.
  • Use a cookie scoop to measure out dough. Use your hands to roll into balls.
  • Place in the fridge or freezer to firm up for 30 minutes.
  • Place chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. Melt in 30 second increments until smooth. Stir in olive oil.
  • Use a fork to drop balls into melted chocolate. Place back on the plate. Sprinkle tops of each ball with cacao nibs and flaky salt.
  • Place in the fridge or freezer to set.
  • Store in an airtight container either in fridge or freezer.

Notes

*I love tahini in these balls, but use whatever nut or seed butter you enjoy most.
You can use whatever chocolate you want, but my favourite dark chocolate chips are from Camino
