Caramelized Peach Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • ½ peach 5-6 slices
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp cinnamon divided
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup water
  • 2-3 tbsp milk of choice
  • pinch salt

Instructions

  • Heat a cast iron or nonstick pan over medium heat.
  • Add butter to melt.
  • Add peach slices.
  • Cook for 1-2 minutes before adding maple syrup, vanilla and 1/2 of the cinnamon.
  • Use a spoon to coat peach slices.
  • Flip slices and cook for 1-2 more minutes until glossy and caramelized.
  • Add water, oats, cinnamon and sea salt to a small pot and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low and cook until water is almost fully dissolved.
  • Add milk and cook until thickened.
  • Transfer to a bowl, add peach slices, granola and hemp seeds.

Notes

If you want to increase protein, please add 2 tbsp of your fave protein powder.
